Will the ocean ever run out of fish?

What is it?

TED Ed Will the ocean ever run out of fish? by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson & Jennifer Jacquet (4 min.)

Why should we watch it?

Because fish are in trouble. Overfishing is a serious problem ever since new technologies have been introduced. Today’s factory ships use nets the size of 5 football fields, taking turtles and dolphins along with them. Almost 31 % of the worlds fish populations are overfished, another 58% are fished to their maximum sustainable level. Watch and find out what needs to be done to save our ecosystems, food security, jobs, economy and coastal cultures.
